Orange to Blue: Scott McAdams, AK-Sen
Daily Kos is thrilled to announce the latest - and perhaps the most unlikely - addition to Orange to Blue: Scott McAdams , the Democratic Candidate for Senate in Alaska.
Let's acknowledge the elephant in the room right away. Scott McAdams has an uphill climb if he's going to win this seat. But before teabagging Social Security-hater Joe Miller shocked the Republican establishment by beating Incumbent Senator and dynastic heir Lisa Murkowski in last month's Primary, no one would have given...
AK Sen - We Will Win This Race
Hello, Kossacks. My name is Scott McAdams, and I'm the Democratic Candidate for Senate in the great state of Alaska. I met some of you this year at Netroots Nation in Las Vegas, back when my candidacy was a tiny blip on the 2010 Senate radar screen. Since then, as some of you might have heard, my race has heated up into an almost unprecedented three-way battle, complete with a nationally televised Republican Family Feud. Follow me below the jump for a little bit of who I am and what I’m...
CNN Poll: Murkowski Closes Gap in Alaska
Sen. Lisa Murkowski has essentially pulled even with Republican
nominee Joe Miller in the three-way Alaska Senate race,
according to a new CNN/Time poll.
Though other polls have shown Miller with a comfortable
lead, this poll finds Miller with 38 percent support, compared with
36 percent for Murkowski and 22 percent for Democrat Scott
McAdams.
CNN's poling director suggests that Democrats are starting to
decide to strategically vote for Murkowski to prevent Miller from
being...
Alaska Polls Suggest Murkowski Has Upside as Write-In
Two new polls out Wednesday find that Senator Lisa Murkowski , who is running a write-in-bid for the U.S. Senate , is still an appealing figure to some Alaskans. First, a CNN poll showed Ms. Murkowski running just 2 points behind the Republican Joe Miller among Likely Voters. The Democratic Candidate, Scott McAdams, was in third place with 22 percent of the vote. In addition, a poll provided to the New York Times by Craciun Research shows Ms. Murkowski with an apparent lead. The poll,...
Spinning for the 'Revived' Lisa Murkowski Candidacy on the Front Page
The Times has a knee-jerk habit of bucking up anti-conservative Candidates, and William Yardley provided encouragement to Sen. Lisa Murkowski, the Alaska senator who was defeated in the Republican Primary by a Candidate backed by the Tea Party, and is now running a quixotic write-in campaign to retain her seat. “ Dark Horse Emerges in Alaska: The Incumbent .”
It’s an awfully thin argument, especially for a front-page story. If there is compelling evidence that Murkowski can...
The battle to replace McAdams as Sitka mayor
According to an Anchorage Press story this week, the two-candidate race to replace Democrat Candidate for U.S. Senate Scott McAdams as Sitka mayor is heating up. How the race will turn out at this point is anyone's guess; both Candidates are well-known and have deep roots in the community. The report isn't just a local-interest piece, however. It contains some good local detail adding to the statewide understanding of the Sheldon Jackson College redevelopment, which Alaska Dispatch recently ...

Murkowski: GOP Senators Think I Can Win as Write-in
Denial in Denali (I couldn't resist):
Republican senators opted not to oust Sen. Lisa Murkowski from a top committee post because they believe she has a shot at winning Reelection, Murkowski said.
Murkowski, a GOP senator from Alaska who decided to pursue an independent write-in bid for Reelection after losing her Republican Senate primary, said that her colleagues' decision to allow her to keep her position as ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee was an...
Murkowski set to announce decision Friday: AP Alaska
JUNEAU, Alaska - In the weeks since her stunning defeat in the GOP primary, U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski has been going back and forth, anguishing over whether to re-enter the race as a write-in Candidate or accept life outside Washington and a role other than Alaska's senior senator.
Alaska Senate - Miller vs. McAdams vs. Murkowski
9/28/10 -- What little polling we have seems to show Miller with a substantial lead in the three-way race. Murkowski actually seems to be splitting the anti-Miller vote with McAdams. In addition, she's having some troubles with the write-in campaign; the early campaign ad that actually misspelled her last name sums up the difficulties she faces. ----------Race Preview--------- Alaska was initially admitted to the Union as the political counter-weight to Hawaii. Alaska was supposed to be the...

This site has been turned Off due to nonpayment, reads the notice posted by Lanette Mattison, who said today that Johnson initially paid for her work with a bad check, then failed to deliver on a promise to make a payment last week. Johnson, 36, could not be reached this afternoon. He won the Democratic Primary for a Senate seat on the east side of Detroit and its suburbs in...
Miller dodges disclosure questions
(Politico)
Alaska GOP Senate nominee Joe Miller refused to answer questions Wednesday about his failure to file personal Financial Disclosure documents that were required by law to be filed several months ago. While entering a high-dollar Fundraiser in Washington D.C., on Wednesday evening, Miller stayed silent when questioned by Politico about the missing documents that were supposed be filed when he began his campaign for Senate in April. Miller defeated Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski to win the GOP...
Why Lisa Murkowski Will Not Win.
I know I sound a little harsh, and I’m generally not one that likes to take peoples hopes and dreams and dash them on the rocks, but allow me to do that this once. Know though, if you’re a Murkowski supporter, you may love me again by the end, so stay with me.
Lisa Murkowski is not going to win. I’m not saying she shouldn’t have kicked Joe Miller’s sorry butt up one side and down the other in the Primary. She should have. Why didn’t she? The apathy...
