Gabrielle Giffords was shot because she is Jewish?
From Carl:
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Az) wasn't shot because she was pro or anti-immigration. She wasn't shot because she voted against Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House. She wasn't shot because Sarah Palin targeted her seat in last fall's Elections. And she wasn't shot because she voted for ObamaCare.
Gabrielle Giffords was shot because of a much more baseless hatred. Gabrielle Giffords was shot because she is a Jew!

Photograph: Kevin C Cox/Getty Images The psalmist writes (in Psalm 64): "Hide me from the Conspiracy of the wicked, from the plots of evildoers … They shoot from ambush at the innocent; they shoot suddenly, without fear." I would go a step further and invoke the psalmist's use of "evildoers", a word the politically-motivated liked to chide George W Bush for using, but a word fairly straightforward to sc...

The tragic shootings in Arizona that left six people — including a child and a Federal Judge — dead and Congresswoman Gabriellle Giffords fighting for her life highlights on one one hand just how violence-pr0ne political debate and Rhetoric has become in our nation. On the other, it showcases the fine line between passion and violence. Political debate is no longer just that — debate. Debate has been replaced by shouting matches, punctuated by threats. Opponents become “t...
Among the many details emerging about alleged Tucson shooter Jared Loughner are his economic views, and it seems he agreed with the End-the-Fed crowd. According to the The New York Times, he told a college classmate that he was against The Dollar and wanted to replace it.
In that, Loughner and Ron Paul (R-Texas) are on the same page, not that Paul has any connection to what Loughner did. But as commentators have been pointing out repeatedly since the tragic shootings, the tone of today's poli...
