In light of the recent shooting in Arizona, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Republican Congressman Peter King are joining forces in support of a safe, sane, federal policy towards Firearms. The measure will also apply to carrying weapons near the president or vice president. New Y...

The Speech will come four days after a gunman, identified by police as Jared Lee Loughner, killed six people and wounded 14 during a shooting rampage in front of a Tucson Supermarket. Among the dead: a nine-year old girl who aspired to enter politics and a Federal Judge. Among the wounded: Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), the apparent target. Analysts and commentators around the web are giving the president advice regarding wh...
Democrats two-fold agenda in aftermath of Arizona Shooting
Democrats in the aftermath of the Arizona massacre in which Jared Loughner went on a shooting spree, killing six innocent by-standers and critically wounding Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, immediately defined their agenda: blame conservative pundits and the Tea Party.
But casting the blame on Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News is only part of the agenda of the far left Democrats. Let it be known Democrats have a two-fold agenda:
Democrats Agenda #1: Shut Down Free Speech

Gun Control for Shooting Off Our Mouths?
Representative Peter King (R) of New York will introduce strict new Gun Control Legislation in the House of Representatives, once it returns to work. In the wake of the Assassination attempt upon Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D) of Arizona, there is a lot of buzzing among the blogs on this subject. All the usual suspects are rehashing all the usual positions that Americans tend to take on the issue - with all their usual arguments about what the Founding Fathers intended. As if that m...
Tighter Gun-Control Laws: A Long Shot
Yahoo! Buzz The Tucson shootings have renewed an effort among Northeast lawmakers to strengthen federal gun-control laws, but a partisan climate and an influential gun lobby mean that talk may be as far as it gets. On Tuesday, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D., N.Y.), whose husband was killed by a lone gunman in a 1993 Shooting Spree, said she would introduce Legislation to reinstate a ban on high-capacity magazines like the one used by the Tucson shooter. Rep. Peter King (R., N.Y.) said that he would o...
Americans get it: It's just a horrible coincidence
CBS News is out with a new poll today that finds Americans strongly rejecting the notion that the political climate played a role in Saturday's attempted Assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Fifty-seven percent of respondents say that the nation's "harsh political tone" didn't have anything to do with the shooting rampage, compared with 32 percent who say it did play a role. Not surprisingly, Republicans are more unified in denying any linkage (a 69 to 19 percent margin), but even a plurali...
About that Republican who supports gun control ...
Ryan Grim at Huffington Post reports:
Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, is planning to introduce Legislation that would make it illegal to bring a gun within 1,000 feet of a government official, according to a person familiar with the congressman's intentions.
As I explored in a piece today, the chances that Gun Control Legislation will pass through this Congress, even in the wake of the Arizona Mass Shooting, are slim.
But still, it's worth considering King's proposal. And if th...
Exposed--documentation of Leftwing hate, threats
The concerted effort by the Leftwing, the Mainstream Media, and high-profile Democrats to blame Conservatives for the Tuscon shooting continues this afternoon. Senators Patrick Leahy and John Kerry alluded to the 'need to curb rightwing Rhetoric.' Liberals in Congress have stated they wish to pass Legislation to curb certain forms of free Speech. One Congressman in particular stated this afternoon on Fox News that Sharron Angle, GOP Candidate for Senate in Nevada, was partly responsible fo...

Poll: Shooting spree not due to rhetoric
WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Most Americans don't blame the shooting rampage in which Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was wounded on violent political language, a poll released Tuesday indicated. While 57 percent said the Mass Shooting in Tucson, Ariz., was not related to political Rhetoric, 32 percent said the two are linked, CBS News reported. The poll was conducted by the CBS News Polling Unit. GALLERY: The aftermath of the Rep. Giffords shooting There was a partisan divide with 69 percent of Republ...

Reacting to the assasination attempt on one of their own, two House members on Monday said they will introduce Legislation that would ban certain amunition clips and make it illegal to threaten a federal official, both of which they say contributed to the mass casualties in a shooting rampage in Tuscson over the weekend. Sarah Palin's presidential hopes surely can't survive this assassin's bullet | Jonathan Freedland
It's not exactly fair. Palin didn't pull the trigger that killed six people, including a nine-year-old girl, in Arizona and left a member of Congress fighting for her life. But politics isn't fair. The cold reality is that the individual most politically damaged by the Saturday shootings is the former vice-presidential Candidate turned Reality TV star, bestselling author and all-round media phenomenon. For proof, just imagine how a Palin Presidential Campaign would now unfold. Her fellow Republi...
Bennet Kelley: Responding to Tucson's Day of Terror
Last March I posted a column "America's Year of Living Dangerously," in reaction to the deterioration of our political debate "from rancorous to poisonous" and the acts of political violence against Democrats such as Gabrielle Giffords following passage of Health Care reform. I was shocked that someone would even target Gabby, since she was such an exceptional and dedicated public servant, and called on John Boehner to not just condemn the acts of violence but the hate the GOP has so assiduous...
We Were Americans; Now a Broken Arrow!
We were all known as Americans prior to the onslaught of Political Correctness. But as America has skipped and jogged along side world history the virtues of being an American has been lost. You would be hard pressed to get an intelligent response from a High School or College Student if you asked them how we became Americans. A question of such nature would be considered an anachronism for an earlier time of American Citizens to respond to. Today in the United States the popul...

TUCSON, AZ -- The Arizona State Legislature's plan to limit the ability of members of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church to Protest the Funerals of Victims of the Mass Shooting over the weekend is gathering overwhelming Bipartisan support.
State Legislators said that Arizona's bill will be modeled after an Ohio bill that was upheld by federal courts.
The Westboro Baptist Church announced shortly after the Mass Shooting that killed six individuals and gravely injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (...

Progressive liberal and media failure! Only 32 PERCENT of those polled by CBS think Giffords shooting was politically motivated
As if the American Media hadn’t done enough damage to it’s own reputations over the last two years Cheerleading for Obama, Cheerleading for Democrats in the November Elections, and mocking John Boehner for his crying, the lame stream media may have finally jumped the shark “officially” in the minds of many Americans. According to a poll release...
Conservative Joe Scarborough Goes after Beck, Bachmann, and Palin Video 1/11/11
Here is video of Joe Scarborough attacking Glenn Beck as “paranoid,” and also criticizing Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin in the wake of the Tucson Mass Shooting. Scarborough says the political Rhetoric needs to be toned down, even though he does not believe that had anything to do with the Tucson Shooting tragedy.
Scarborough called himself a “conservative,” and said he feels a responsibility to call people out “on his side” who go too far. I’m not s...
Sheriff in Giffords case lashes out about politics
(01-10) 15:25 PST Tucson, Ariz. (AP) --
Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik was thrust into the spotlight to face a nation demanding answers in the aftermath of the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. He didn't mince words.
The rampage, he said, grew in part from extreme political Rhetoric, Bigotry and hatred, especially in his home state of Arizona. Dupnik said he was angry and heartbroken over the tragedy, and was simply speaking his mind as an American, not a Law Enforcement official.
But ...
The Post 1/11/2011
While South Carolina prepares for an icy inauguration and the start of the 2011 legislative session, the focus of the nation continues to be absorbed by the Shooting Spree in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday that killed six people and left U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords seriously wounded. The Giffords’ story has dominated all facets of national news, the 2012 presidential discussion and has even reached into South Carolina politics given the asinine, anti-First Amendment comments made in response...
