The offshore quake struck at around 2:20 a.m. local time at the depth of 6.2 miles. The agency issued a warning for a mild Tsunami for nearby islands. Tokyo (Reuters) - An Earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 jolted islands in the Pacific southeast of mainland Japan on Wednesday and a Tsunami warning was issued, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
